Manufacturer verification policy

Section 1

Purpose and independence

Verification helps reduce trader and reseller misrepresentation by reviewing business identity and manufacturing evidence. It is separate from subscription status: paying for Growth or Sponsored does not buy a verification result, and Free manufacturers may qualify when they meet the same verification standard.

Checks are risk-based and may differ by category, company type and claim. A verified label records the scope and date of review; it is not continuous factory monitoring.

Section 2

Public labels

• Manufacturer: the account declares manufacturer status and has an approved listing, but not every enhanced verification check may be complete.
• Verified manufacturer: b2bsilvish has reviewed the required identity, GST/legal and manufacturing-capability evidence for the displayed scope.
• Sponsored manufacturer: a paid promotional label. It identifies placement, not verification or superior product quality.
• Supplier-declared or company-declared: the information was provided by the supplier and has not been independently confirmed.
• Reviewed: evidence was inspected, but the label should be read with its stated scope and date.

Section 3

Baseline checks

• Verified mobile number and required primary business email.
• Legal business name and GST registration or documented lawful exception.
• PAN/legal-entity consistency reviewed privately where collected.
• Registered and factory address consistency.
• Manufacturer declaration and product-scope mapping.
• Catalogue evidence showing plausible manufacturing capability.

Section 4

Enhanced manufacturing evidence

Depending on risk and category, we may request Udyam/MSME records, factory utility bill, lease or ownership evidence, machinery invoices, production photos or video, factory licences, employee or capacity information, purchase of raw materials, sales invoices, IEC, pollution or sector licences, quality certificates, live video walkthrough or third-party inspection.

Government and public portals may be used to cross-check GST, company, Udyam, IEC, licence or certification information where lawful and technically available. Automated checks produce a signal for review and do not replace human assessment when records conflict.

Section 5

How we assess manufacturer-only status

We look for a coherent link between the legal entity, factory location, people, equipment, raw materials, process, output and listed product. Merely holding GST, Udyam or a website does not prove manufacturing.

A manufacturer may outsource a disclosed supporting process, but must not conceal that its core listed product is procured and resold. Private-label or contract manufacturing claims must accurately identify the capability actually controlled by the enrolled supplier.

Section 6

Certificates and regulated claims

Certificate review checks the submitted document’s entity, issuer, scope, location and validity where possible. The platform may show only a status or masked number to protect sensitive information.

Verification does not mean the certificate covers every listed product, buyer specification or shipment. Buyers should obtain the current document and confirm its scope directly before contracting.

Section 7

Ongoing review and expiry

Verification may be renewed periodically or triggered by profile changes, document expiry, buyer report, suspicious activity or new category risk. A badge may be paused while evidence is reviewed.

Suppliers must notify us when ownership, legal entity, GSTIN, factory, core process, primary contact or licence changes. Continued display of outdated evidence may be treated as misrepresentation.

Section 8

What verification does not guarantee

• Product quality, safety, compliance with a buyer’s destination laws or fitness for purpose.
• Factory capacity, solvency, pricing, response, lead time, delivery, warranty or transaction performance.
• That no manufacturing process is outsourced.
• Authenticity of every future document, statement, sample or shipment.
• A buyer’s payment protection, because orders and payments occur outside b2bsilvish.

Section 9

Reports, suspension and correction

Anyone may report suspected trader activity, false identity, certificate misuse or inaccurate factory information with the relevant URL and evidence. We may request a supplier response, temporarily hide the badge or listing, conduct renewed checks or remove the account.

A supplier may challenge an outcome through Support. We will review relevant evidence, conflicts and audit history, but we are not required to disclose confidential fraud-detection methods or another person’s protected data.
